Usage and results
I’ve been using this for a little over 4 weeks now, applying every morning towards the beginning of my routine. Even after nearly a month of heavy daily use I’ve hardly put a dent in it, there’s less than 1/4 gone out of the bottle.
This has no discernible fragrance which paired with the simple formulation means this could be a great product for those with sensitive skin. It’s an incredibly gentle toner that leaves my skin feeling calmer than before application. It’s a very light and watery texture that absorbs quickly with no sticky feeling. I tend to prefer lightweight products in the mornings, I need a lot of hydrating layers to get me through my day so this fits perfectly in that category. I’ve used this as a single application, and with the seven skin method. It works beautifully even in multiple layers, drying down quickly and leaving skin plump and refreshed.
Since adding this into my routine I have slowly noticed an improvement in my skin tone and hydration. This isn’t a huge and revolutionary change, but a subtle improvement. I tend to always have a bit of splotchy redness on my cheeks, light enough that I’m probably the only one who really notices it. The toner and serum paired together have calmed that color down a bit, my cheeks are a more even color then I’ve seen in a long time. My skin has also been looking plump and healthy, which to me is a sign of well hydrated skin.
My final thoughts on this is this is an affordable toner that is gentle and calming. Even if I didn’t notice the benefits of the beta glucan I would still continue to use it for its ability to hydrate.

Ingredients
Water, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Beta Glucan, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Butylene Glycol
Packaging and price
The serum comes in a glass bottle with a dropper that stops just short of the bottom. I’m only about halfway through it right now but suspect that the last bit will be difficult to get out. This is listed on their site for $46 for 50 ml
Usage and results
I’ve been using this each evening for about 5 weeks. The company recommends using only a few drops but I’m absorbent so tend to use a full dropper of it, though I’ve more recently begun mixing a few drops with a light toner in hopes of extending the life of the bottle. As it stands I’m not even halfway through this so hopefully it will last another 2 months or so. The texture is light with a nice slip to it, and it dries down with no stickiness. As with the toner there is also no fragrance to this.

I’ve found this to be a nice soothing layer after dermarolling, helping to calm my (self-inflicted) irritated skin. This is just as gentle as the toner so I find it to be a perfect way to treat post micro-needling. As I said above this has been wonderful at reducing the redness on my cheeks and giving me plump and happy skin. As this is a higher concentration of beta glucan this is effective in smaller doses. I have used a 100% pure beta glucan serum before and will admit I do prefer that for the sheer purity of it, though the formulation on that was incredibly sticky and would take a while to absorb.
As it stands with this serum I think it’s a wonderful and simple product that does what it says. Not only that but this is one of those ingredients I want in my routines all the time. I’m all about antioxidants in any form lately, so all the other benefits of beta glucan is a dreamy bonus.
TL;DR
Jkosmmune toner Lovely, light, fragrance free. Calming and hydrating. Good for all skin types.
Jkosmmune serm Also lovely, light, and fragrance free. Plumping and soothing. Also good for all skin types.
Jkosmmune has something good going for it, and I am all about their use of mushroom derived beta glucan and look forward to seeing what this brand does in the future.
I’m now going to try the serum not only for the beta glucan and your user opinion but I noticed another ingredient Portulaca Oleracea. Purslane. It’s a weed used in many indigenous forms but if you are familiar with Dr Sturm products she uses this as her ‘magic’ ingredient’ and charges insane prices for it! So I’ll be able to slap this stuff on because your review, method and skin type seems like it’d fit in nicely. Thanks!!!
